Another one for the to-do list next time I’m in Osaka…

A new bar has opened in Osaka called Panchira Kissa P*Doll. The bar is staffed by only scantily clad women with short skirts, and a mirror floored bar, so customers can check out waitresses panties as they walk past.

As customers walk in, they are greeted by a cute French maid with “Chirashaimase“, a cunning play on the words “panchira” - meaning a glimpse of panties, and “irashaimase” - a general kind of “welcome into my store” greeting that is heard everywhere (except for maid cafes, where they shout “okaerinasaimase go-shujin-sama” - “Welcome home master“).

There are also a number of optional services for customers who can afford it, such as watching the waitresses change behind a transparent black silk screen, or having them squat down with their legs apart for a 2 minute chat. The real winner is the fishing-rod rental, where customers can try their luck using the rod to lift up the girls skirts.

Pink Tentacle has uncovered a ton of shots of uniquely Japanese pimped out vans. Like this one, dedicated to Ayumi Hamasaki, the current j-pop version of Madonna. They must mostly all be hidden in Tokyo though, since in three years of living in Kyoto, I’ve only ever seen one.

Unlike Itasha (Otaku gimped-out cars), thse kind of vans are only driven by yankees and their gyaru / ganguro girls, accompanied by blaring euro-trance remixes of Ayu’s tunes.

Though sadly in decline, these white post boxes can still be found in some small villages around Japan. Don’t be fooled though - if you actually put post into them, it probably won’t get delivered… They aren’t in fact post boxes, and probably have “post” written on them to fool hapless newbie foreigners living here who have mastered just Katakana.

If the title has you confused, let me explain. Angel Kitty is a Japanese company that makes some awfully cute costumes. They also have a couple of unique USB-related items. Let me show you.

First is the tail-cam:

Look closely. You see that little black dot on the end of her tail? That’s a webcam. Now look back to the left side picture and check out where the camera is supposed to point. As far as I can tell from the specs, it’s designed to be plugged into the customers computer when they are served or something. Then the customer has a “video chat” with the maids panties or whatever. Fantastic.

Another more useful product is the simple USB Tail:

It’s seriously just a USB cable, disguised as a tail. But the product page suggests adding a 512mb thumb-drive to the mix (on the maid end, as it were). Then, if a customer asks for a photo or something, the maid can just slip her tail into his USB drive and upload some photos and videos to his laptop. A portable menu maybe?

Last year, they also had a USB keyboard, but the product seems to have disappeared from their catalogue. Anyway, I sourced this picture, so enjoy:
